Topic 1:Finite Strain Analysis of Self–Weight Consolidation of Soft Clay Considering Creep
- Contribution: developing a one–dimensional (1D) finite strain consolidation model to take into account creep of soft clay, particularly during the early stages of reclamation construction, mainly in a self-weight
consolidation process.
- Significance: predicting the self-weight consolidation process of soft clay more accurately.

Topic 2:Finite strain consolidation analysis considering creep for clayey soil improved by prefabricated vertical drains (PVD) or prefabricated horizontal drains (PHD)
- Contribution: developing a series of consolidation equations considering creep incorporating Yin-Graham EVP model, radial and vertical flows, non-Darcian flow law, the weight of the soil, changing hydraulic
conductivity, and compressibility to predict the consolidation process.
- Significance: predicting the consolidation process of clayey soil improved by PVD or PHD more accurately.
