Academic qualifications
- Ph.D. Candidate in Geotechnical Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, 2019 - now
- Master in Civil Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, China, 2017 - 2019
Professional experience (University)
- Research Assistant, Harbin Institute of Technology, China, 2018 - 2019
Research interests
- Offshore Pile Foundations
- FRP-reinforced sea water sea-sand concrete (SSC) Piles
- Physical modeling in geotechnical engineering
Topic:Behaviour of FRP-reinforced seawater sea-sand concrete piles under static and cyclic loadings
- Contribution: Performed two physical model pile tests using GFRP tube for confinement and one physical model test using GFRP rebars. Currently conducting 4th physical model pile test using Hong Kong marine deposits to investigate
the effect of negative skin friction of FRP-SSC pile due to the consolidation of soils.
- Significance: Solving major challenges for marine infrastructures like steel corrosion and shortage of fresh water and river sand by using sustainable materials sea water, sea sand, and fiber-reinforced composites.
