Topic:A systematic framework from automated particle recognition to DEM modeling of realistic granular materials

  • Contribution: (a) an automated particle extraction approach is developed through FCN network; (b) an quantitative shape evaluation method is proposed through computational geometry; (c) an efficient discrete element method is developed for simulation of irregular shape granular materials.
