Topic 1:Reliability assessment of excavation in spatially varying soil using Sobol’s Sensitivity Index

  • Contribution: Extend the Sobol’s index in spatially variable soil for the risk assessment in geotechnical engineering.
  • Significance: Reducing the uncertainty of the system response and mapping the importance of the soil sample location.



Topic 2:Parameter Identification and Model Selection in Constitutive Model Optimization Using Differential Evolution Algorithm and Centrifuge Test Data

  • Contribution: Developed centrifuge-data driven back analysis for optimize the constitutive model.
  • Significance: Optimize the constitutive model for complicated and large-scale geotechnical experiment.
