Dr Liming HU is Professor of GeotechnicalEngineering at Tsinghua University, and Principal Investigator at the State Key Laboratory of Hydro-Science and Engineering. Prof. HU's research interest includes multiphysics coupling behaviors and Microfomechanics of multi-phase flow geomaterials, as well as the applications in dam engineering, ground improvement, and geo-environmental engineering. He has over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences. He won the First-Class National Invention Prize in 2013 and the First-Class National Science and Technology Prize in 2018. In addition, he obtained several international academic awards such as ASCEEWRI Best Paper, IACMAG Excellent Regional Contribution Award, and Australia Endeavor Award. He served as Chairman of Young Scholar Committee of CISMGE for 8 years.
